The Eastern Shore Regional GIS Cooperative (ESRGC) provides access to geographic information system (GIS) technology, data, technical support, and training to the local governments of Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The ESRGC is an outreach entity of Salisbury University, and is a joint effort between the Mid-Shore Regional Council, the Tri-County Council of the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland and the University.
BEACON, The Business Economic and Community Outreach Network of the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business at Salisbury University, offers business, economic, workforce, and community development research and consulting services. BEACON clients include private, public, and non-profit sector organizations.
DelMarVa Index, a collaborative effort of Tri-County Council for the Lower Eastern Shore of Maryland (TCCLES), the Mid-Shore Regional Council (MSRC), and the Eastern Shore Regional GIS Center (ESRGC-Salisbury University) to provide a user-friendly tool to find economic data, demographic data, etc. for business planning purposes
A CEDS, or Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy, is a roadmap to understanding the regional economy and serves as a useful guide to local decision making. It is a comprehensive planning document that acts as a blueprint to the economic development activities of a region and is a requirement for receiving Federal infrastructure funds through the Economic Development Administration (EDA) of the US Department of Commerce.
