
Worcester Technical High School
Worcester Technical High School offers students in grades 9 – 12 the opportunity to pursue a certificate in a career field as well as academic preparation for college. The school features 9 program clusters modeled to prepare a diverse workforce for entry into the LESMD economy. In addition, its STEM Academy begins preparing in-coming 9th grade students for post-secondary education leading to STEM-related career fields.
The Worcester STATT Internship and Workforce Exploration Program (WSTATT) is a work-based learning experience that will provide high school students and recent graduates from Worcester County an opportunity to explore Skill Trades, Agriculture, Technology (STEM) or Tourism related careers via paid in- and out-of-school internships, co-sponsored by Worcester County and the Tri-County Council.

The Hospitality and Tourism Management program is designed to prepare students for entry into the largest industries in Worcester County. This program track provides students with broad-based learning on the tasks, knowledge, and skills required by anyone wishing to build a career within the hospitality and tourism industry. Students learn foundational skills in customer satisfaction, marketing, cost analysis, and roles within the industry. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates can enter their college career and Wor-Wic Community College with 6 credits.

Agriculture is one of the largest industries in Worcester County and a key industry in the LESMD region. Agricultural Science Education guides students to be successful in numerous careers in the agricultural sciences as well a preparing them to further their education at the post-secondary level, exposing them to plant science, agribusiness and management, and emerging technologies.

The Academy of Health Professions uses project and problem-based learning, clinical experiences, and classroom lab instruction to teach students about the field of healthcare. Students apply what they have learned to real-life healthcare situations through clinical rotations at local healthcare facilities and have the opportunity to acquire the skills to enter the healthcare industry upon graduation as a CNA. Students can also earn early college credits can be earned and transferred to Wor-Wic Community College.
